Pulse Code have provided an overview of some of the new features coming to Rhythm Studio. Highlights include support for Intua Pasteboard, two new instruments (DR-9 and Hornet Synth), a new gate audio effect, a new 4-channel mixer, and the ability to add four user-selectable devices per song.
Hornet Synth is a subtractive synth with design inspired by the EDP WASP and Korg Monotribe. It will have a ribbon style keyboard. The oscillator produces three waveforms simultaneously, along with noise. The controls have been kept as simple as possible while still giving you loads of sonic possibilities.
DR-9 Drum Machine:
Rhythm Studio is a must have app for musicians! It is a premier universal electronic music making app, boasting richly detailed graphics and incredible sound, with impeccable recreations of classic synths and drum machines along with other amazing studio hardware.
Rhythm Studio is a workspace style app with a studio of realistic electronic music instruments. Rhythm Studio balances advanced features by using an easy to understand interface resembling real instruments. This means that one button does one thing just like it would with real hardware. Knobs turn, switches slide, and buttons press. You won’t get lost in abstract interfaces or design.
Rhythm Studio is the next best thing to having the real hardware. It currently includes a full TR-808 drum machine, a TB-303 synthesizer, a sample based synthesizer, an XY style control pad, and mixer with FX – Send FX (Delay, Flanger, Chorus) – Insert FX (Distortion, Foldback Distortion, Lo-Fi, Low Pass Filter, High Pass Filter).
